The lawmaker representing the Ibadan Northwest/Southwest federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dhikirulahi Adedeji Stanley Olajide (Odidi Omo), has felicitated Muslim Ummah in Oyo state and Nigeria for witnessing another Eid el Kabir.

In a Sallah message to Muslims to commemorate 2023 Eid-el-Kabir, the lawmaker while at Mecca performing Hajj rites, harped on the need for Muslims and Non-Muslims to imbibe the spirit of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence during and after the Sallah celebration.

“I join my Muslim brothers and sisters in celebrating this year’s Eid-el-Kabir. It is a time to reflect on the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim and to renew our commitment to serving God and humanity. Let us use this opportunity to build bridges of understanding and cooperation with our neighbors, regardless of their faith. Let us use this Eid to celebrate our diversity and to show the world that we are a people of peace and love.

Odidi Omo commended the Muslim leaders and residents in Oyo state for their commitment to peace and good neighborliness with adherents of other religions. He urged them to continue to pray and support the present administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.

“As we celebrate Sallah today, let me assure all Muslims in the state that, governor Makinde’s administration remains committed to fairness and equity. He holds religious leaders in high esteems.

Together, we shall forge a brighter future for all. Eid Mubarak!”
