This affirmation follows the earlier judgment by the tribunal in August, which recognized Stanley Olajide Odidi-Omo as the legitimate winner of the election. The Chairman of the Election Petition Tribunal, Justice Sobere Biambo, delivered the lead judgment, backed by Justices Z.A. Zadat and Shaffau Lada Yusuff, and dismissed Fijabi’s petition, imposing a cost of N1 million on each of the respondents.<\/p>\n

Unsatisfied with the tribunal’s decision, the APC candidate, Saheed Akinade Fijabi, sought recourse at the Appellate court in an attempt to overturn the tribunal’s ruling. However, the Court of Appeal resolutely dismissed the appeals, finding them to lack merit.<\/p>\n
