Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) senatorial candidate for Oyo South in the 2027 general elections, alongside Hon. Lawal Akorede Abdul-Lateef and other APM leaders, welcomed thousands of supporters who defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the APM in Ayete, Ibarapa, on the first day of Odidiomo\u2019s visit to the area.<\/p>\n

The defection, facilitated by Hon. Lawal Akorede, who hosted Odidiomo in Ayete, marked a major highlight of the day\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, Odidiomo welcomed the new members and assured them that the APM was committed to ending the suffering of the masses and addressing the challenges facing ordinary Nigerians.<\/p>\n

He urged the people to look beyond political affiliations and focus on leadership that responds to their needs, creates opportunities for young people and delivers tangible benefits to communities.<\/p>\n

Odidiomo also urged the people to support Bimbo Adekanbi\u2019s governorship ambition, arguing that many of the other aspirants seeking the position had done little to make a meaningful impact on the lives of ordinary people or address the challenges facing the masses.<\/p>\n

He challenged the people to look beyond campaign promises and consider the records of those seeking public office, particularly their contributions to improving people\u2019s welfare and meeting pressing community needs.<\/p>\n
