Fellow compatriots, today marks a great day in the history of our nation as a democratic people. It’s indeed worthy of note that we have come together once again to celebrate the one true people centered system of leadership.
Surely, several messages are flying around to commemorate this day. Many of those messages will address democracy on a surface level and mention the Great MKO Abiola but mentioning his name is not enough to describe the significance of June 12, 1993 among our people.
At a time when our Nation is riddled with several insecurity challenges and various human rights issues that threatens our unity as a nation, we must consciously look into the tenets of democracy today and draw out lessons for ourselves as one family and law abiding citizens of our great nation.
More importantly, I will be doing myself a greater harm if I do not recognise the efforts and impact of our father the grand commander Ibadan and Southwest politics Alhaji chief Lamidi Akanji Adedibu, whose death coincidentally occurred on June 11,2008, may his soul rest in peace.
Therefore, the freedom our leaders fought for, the sweat and labour of our founding fathers must not be put to waste. It’s time for us to rise above all that divides us as a nation and come together to Foster peace, unity and development at all levels.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

You actually make it seem really easy along with your presentation but
I in finding this matter to be really one thing
that I think I’d by no means understand. It seems too complex and very huge for me.
I’m looking ahead to your next submit, I will attempt to
get the hold of it!
