A healthy nation is a thriving nation: Rep. Stanley Olajide Adedeji lauds commissioning of health facility at Surulere

The need for a robust and accessible healthcare system is a pressing concern for many Nigerians. Recognizing this crucial issue, Rep. Stanley Olajide Adedeji popularly known as Odidiomo, representing Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, has urged governments at all levels to prioritize healthcare improvements.

Rep. Stanley Olajide Adedeji’s call came during the commissioning of an 80-bed hospital facilitated by his colleague, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Lagos. This state-of-the-art facility marks a significant milestone, promising enhanced healthcare services and reduced strain on existing resources.

Rep. Stanley Olajide Adedeji emphasized the collective responsibility of federal, state, and local governments in ensuring quality healthcare for all Nigerians. He envisions a future where medical tourism becomes a relic of the past, replaced by a robust domestic healthcare system catering to the needs of its citizens.

As the House Committee Chairman on ICT and Cybersecurity, Hon. Odidiomo understands the importance of effective resource allocation and strategic action. He sets a powerful example by prioritizing the well-being of his constituents, actively addressing their healthcare needs through initiatives like constructing and equipping medical facilities in his constituency during his first term.

The commissioning ceremony, attended by dignitaries like the House of Representatives Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, served as a powerful reminder of the collective responsibility we have to build a healthier Nigeria. Hon. Odidiomo’s call to action serves as a beacon of hope, urging legislators, community leaders, and citizens alike to work together in making quality healthcare a reality for all Nigerians.
