Adedibu’s wife calls for women’s rededication in politics

Alhaja Bose Adedibu, the wife of late strongman of Ibadan politics, Alhaji Ariyibi Adedibu on Tuesday called for rededication of women in politics to promote political development.

The South West Women leader of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) made this known during a meeting with women leaders across the 33 Local Government Chapters in Oyo State which was hosted by the state’s PDP Women Leader, Alhaja Wunmi Omobayonle Ibitoye.

Also in attendance were the State Chairman, Hon Dayo Ogungbenro, State Secretary, Alh Wasiu Adeleke, State PRO, Engr Akeem Olatunji II, State Youths Leader, Hon Ogunsina Oluwaseun Micheal, former Commissioner for Local Government, Hon Mrs Orisadeyi, and the 3 Senatorial Women Leaders.

In her remarks, Alhaja Bose Adedibu urged the women leaders to rededicate themselves to the party by mobilizing more women into the party because the more the merrier.

Hon Dayo Ogungbenro in his speech enjoined women in the party to feel free to aspire for any position within the party as the present State Executives is determined to encourage and support women in their political aspirations.

Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke while admonishing the Women Leaders advised them to be good Ambassador of the party and Governor Seyi Makinde as PDP is known for peace, good conduct and integrity.

The State Women Leader, Alhaja Wunmi Ibitoye, in her address solicit for greater role for women in government as well as special consideration for the women when the party is to select candidates in the forthcoming primary elections.
