No Truth to Rice Distribution Yet: Rep. Adedeji Olajide Clarifies the Current Status

In recent days, there have been widespread rumors circulating about President Tinubu allegedly gifting National Assembly Members at least 2 Trailer loads of rice for distribution in their constituencies. We aim to address and clarify this matter to provide accurate information to the public.

The rumor originated from a video featuring a member of the National Assembly from Edo state claiming that President Tinubu provided substantial quantities of rice for Christmas and New Year festivities.

Rep. Adedeji Olajide fondly called Odidi Omo, representing Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, has debunked these claims. In a conversation with The Group General Manager of Fresh FM 105.9, Alhaji Abolade Salami, Hon. Odidiomo clarified the situation.

Odidiomo confirmed that President Bola Tinubu did make a policy statement regarding the distribution of grains through National Assembly members. However, he emphasized that none of them have received or taken delivery of trailer loads of rice.

Rep. Adedeji assured the public that when and if the members receive the bags of rice, they will be promptly distributed to the constituency.

It is crucial to rely on verified information from reliable sources. As of now, there is no evidence to support the claim that President Tinubu has distributed trailer loads of rice to National Assembly Members. We appreciate the diligence of the public in seeking accurate information.
