Waldrum drops five players as Oshoala and Plumtree arrive at camp

Ahead of the 2022 African Women’s Championship qualifiers against Ivory Coast, Super Falcons of Nigeria’s Head Coach, Randy Waldrum has dropped five players from his squad.

30 players were invited for the mouthwatering games, but down Waldrum has decided to reduce the number of players in the team camp by five.

The players that were dropped are Christy Ohiaeriaku, Miracle Joseph, Joy Duru, Ayomide Ojo, and Juliet Bassey.

Meanwhile, Team Captain Asisat Oshoala and Leicester City defender Ashleigh Plumtre have joined the team in Abuja.

The two influential players joined their teammates on Tuesday and they took the number of players in camp to 25.

Nigeria will slug it out with Ivory Coast at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja in the first leg this weekend, before traveling to Abidjan for the reverse fixture on the 23rd of February.
