Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, a member of the Federal House of Representatives and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) senatorial candidate for Oyo South in the 2027 general elections, has visited the ultra-modern palace of the Olu of Igbo-Ora, His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye (Asoroolu Ayinla V), as part of his engagements in Ibarapa.

The visit was marked by a colourful procession to the palace, where the traditional ruler received Odidiomo and offered royal blessings for his aspiration to represent Oyo South Senatorial District in the Senate in 2027.
The palace visit formed part of Odidiomo’s engagements in Igbo-Ora during the 2026 World Twins Festival period, bringing together supporters, community figures and political associates in a display of cultural pride and respect for traditional institutions.
During the engagement, Odidiomo also called on the people to support the APM, describing the party’s candidates across different levels of government as a “full package” working together towards a common goal.
He pointed to Governor Seyi Makinde’s presidential ambition, Bimbo Adekanbi’s governorship aspiration and his own senatorial candidacy as parts of a wider political team, alongside candidates contesting seats in the House of Representatives, the State House of Assembly, local government chairmanships and councillorships.
According to Odidiomo, the team’s approach is built around having representation at different levels of government, with each candidate contributing to the broader responsibility of addressing the needs of the people.
He urged residents to consider the candidates and their respective roles as the 2027 elections approach, emphasising the importance of cooperation among representatives at federal, state and local government levels.
The visit also highlighted the place of traditional institutions in community life. The palace of the Olu of Igbo-Ora remains an important centre of cultural identity and leadership, and the royal reception provided an opportunity for Odidiomo to pay his respects to the traditional ruler and seek blessings as he pursues his senatorial ambition.
As preparations and political engagements ahead of 2027 continue, the visit brought together cultural tradition and political conversation, with Odidiomo presenting the APM as a team whose candidates intend to work across different levels of government.
