Thousands of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) formally joined the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) on Monday as the Boye Nation and JAF Movement Mega Concert brought together supporters, political leaders and young people at Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan.
The gathering, organised under the theme “Young, United, Unstoppable”, combined entertainment with a significant political development ahead of the 2027 elections.

Led by Ajiboye Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation, the group and its supporters were formally received into the APM during the event. Reports from the gathering said the new entrants were drawn from several local government areas across Oyo State. Channels Television
For Odidiomo, the Oyo South senatorial candidate of the APM, the significance of the gathering went beyond the crowd.
Speaking at the event, he reflected on the scale of the mobilisation and invoked the familiar idea that what is seen today can offer an indication of what tomorrow may bring.
The message was directed at the responsibility that comes with the confidence of the people.
Odidiomo urged those seeking to serve to remember the promises made to the people and the expectations that come with those promises. For him, political support should ultimately be matched by responsibility, representation and delivery.
And speaking about his own commitment to the people of Oyo South, he made a personal pledge:
“I will not let you down.”
It was a direct message to the people whose support he is seeking as he continues his bid to return to the National Assembly to represent Oyo South.
The event itself represented a broader political realignment in Oyo State. The Boye Nation movement, associated with Ajiboye Sangogade, a former aide and loyalist of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, formally moved its political structure from the APC into the APM. Multiple reports described the number of defectors as being in the thousands. Channels Television
The gathering also brought together the APM’s three senatorial candidates in Oyo State — Odidiomo for Oyo South, Shina Peller for Oyo North and Ajadi Oguntoyinbo for Oyo Central — alongside House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates and other party leaders. The Guardian Nigeria
Beyond the political speeches, the event carried the atmosphere of a youth-focused gathering, with performances from Fuji and other Nigerian artistes forming part of the programme.
But beneath the music and celebration was a clear political development: a large group of APC members and supporters had publicly aligned themselves with the APM ahead of the 2027 elections.

For Odidiomo, the moment also brought the focus back to representation.
The people may give their support, but that support comes with expectations. And as he seeks the mandate of Oyo South, his message was ultimately a simple one:
“By the grace of Almighty Allah, I will not let you down.”
The Adamasingba gathering now becomes another notable moment in the unfolding 2027 political season in Oyo State, as parties, candidates and political movements continue to build their structures and engage voters across the state
