Odidiomo Inaugurates Oyo South Campaign Council, Sets Grassroots Mobilisation in Motion

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, has inaugurated the campaign council for his 2027 Oyo South Senatorial bid under the platform of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM).

The inauguration marks the formal activation of the campaign’s operational structure as it begins a wider programme of community engagement and grassroots mobilisation across Oyo South Senatorial District.

Speaking at the event, Odidiomo charged members of the council to take the campaign’s message directly to residents and stakeholders across the district. He urged them to listen to communities, understand their priorities, and communicate the campaign’s proposals with clarity, discipline, and respect.

He  said the council’s responsibility goes beyond organising political activities. Its members are expected to build a strong connection between the campaign and the people by engaging community leaders, party members, youth groups, women’s organisations, professionals, traders, artisans, farmers, students, and other stakeholders.

Odidiomo said his campaign would focus on practical issues affecting the people of Oyo South, including education, youth empowerment, digital skills, healthcare, agriculture, employment, infrastructure, security, and inclusive governance.

He also called on council members to protect the unity of the movement and conduct their activities peacefully. He urged them to avoid personal attacks and divisive language, stressing that the campaign should be driven by issues, responsibility, and respect for the people.

The inauguration follows a series of consultations and stakeholder engagements through which Odidiomo has been presenting his development agenda and seeking input from communities across the senatorial district.

The campaign council is expected to coordinate mobilisation, support engagement with local structures, organise community meetings, and ensure that residents receive accurate information about the campaign’s programme and activities.

Odidiomo expressed appreciation to the party leadership, campaign officials, supporters, and volunteers who accepted responsibilities within the council. He called on them to work collaboratively and remain focused on building a campaign that is accessible, organised, and responsive to the people.

With the council now inaugurated, the Odidiomo campaign is set to intensify its engagement across Oyo South as the 2027 election approaches.

The central message from the event was clear: effective representation must begin with listening, engagement, and a clear understanding of what communities need.
