Parents Barred from Attending as UI Matriculates Students

The premier University, the University of Ibadan is set to matriculate Three thousand, nine hundred and forty students offered admission into the various humanities, sciences and arts courses of the University of Ibadan for the 2021/2022 academic session on Tuesday, 15 February 2022.

According to a release from the university management, the ceremony will be hybrid, as physical and virtual participation are encouraged.

Participants who would be joining virtually have been asked to log on to, www.ui.edu.ng to join their fellow matriculants who would be available onsite, at the International Conference Centre of the University by10a.m.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof K.O. Adebowale will address the students while the Registrar will administer the Matriculation Oath.

It gathered was that a 2012 Alumna of the Institution, Ms Ifeoluwa Olatayo, Founder Soupah Kitchen, will deliver the Matriculation Lecture entitled, “Charting Your Path Diligently”.

While physical participants are advised to observe all Covid 19 Protocols, UI management informed that it will not allow parents l into the Hall and neither will it permit parties/social gatherings in public places on campus.
