IBNW Chairman debunks rumor of violence by suspected thugs at the stakeholders meeting.

RE: IBADAN NORTHWEST PDP CHAIRMAN ADESINA, OTHERS BEATEN AS SUSPECTED ARMED THUGS ALLEGEDLY LINKED TO A FED REP INVADES PARTY MEETING.

My attention and indeed that of all well-meaning, hard-working, and loyal members of our great Party, the PDP in Ibadan Northwest LGA has been drawn to a spurious, provocative and utterly ridiculous media report on the above subject matter.

For the avoidance of doubt and in the overall interest of our teeming members in the LGA, I, Alhaji Lukman Adesina, PDP Chairman in IBNW, wish to clarify that no such occurrence took place as mischievously reported by a section of the media in what can at best be described as gutter journalism.

The truth of the matter is that Rt. Hon
Adedeji Stanley Olajide, (a.k.a Odidi Omo) attended a Stakeholders meeting held last Wednesday at the Council Secretariat, Onireke to seek our support for his second term ambition as the Federal Honourable for IBNW/IBSW Constituency.

At no time during or after proceedings at the aforementioned gathering was anyone harassed, intimidated, or beaten up, least of all my humble self and Alhaji Ramon Adepoju, Chairman, IBNW LGA, as suggested in the publication. If anything, the visit by Odidi Omo was full of fun, excitement, and conviviality while it lasted.

For the avoidance of doubt, IBNW is one of the most peaceful and cohesive LGA in the entire State and will continue to remain so insha Allah. We are however not unmindful of moves by some political detractors and opportunists to cause disaffection among Stakeholders in our LGA in order to achieve primordial ends.

As leaders and Stakeholders, we remain unapologetic, focused and resolute in our resolve to ensure that only the best is good enough for our great Party, the PDP in IBNW LGA and indeed Oyo State under the able, dynamic and visionary leadership of His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde.

Yours Sincerely,
Alhaji Lukman Adesina
PDP Chairman, IBNW
