Tech for All: Odidi Omo  to Train  Thousands of Youths with Vital Tech Skills for Self-Reliance and Employment Opportunities, How to apply

In a resolute move towards shaping a technologically empowered future, Hon. Dhikirulahi Adedeji Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, is set to kickstart a monumental initiative targeting the training of 100,000 youths per month. Declaring 2024 as the “Year of Empowerments,” the lawmaker, representing Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, is steering a transformative program covering fields like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Digital Literacy, and Computer Clouding.

Odidiomo made this groundbreaking announcement during a radio interview on Fresh FM Ibadan, underscoring his dedication to providing Nigerian youths with vital technology skills for self-reliance and employment opportunities. The mega training program, scheduled to commence on March 1st, 2024, is geared towards instilling technology proficiency among the residents of his constituency.

With existing infrastructure in place, including the ICT Hubs at Apata in Ibadan Southwest and Ibadan Northwest, Odidiomo envisions these centers as the epicenters for the comprehensive training sessions. Fluent in both English and Yoruba, the lawmaker assured the allocation of a substantial budget, ensuring a seamless initiation that covers participant welfare, stipends, and other essential needs.

Residents, particularly the youth, are encouraged to visit Odidiomo’s constituency head office at 3rd Floor, Wuraola Building, Adeoyo Bus Stop, Ring Road, Ibadan, to obtain registration forms ahead of the March 1st launch. The expansive training will encompass Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Digital Literacy, Computer Clouding, and related skills, with an ambitious goal of training an impressive 100,000 participants monthly.

Odidiomo’s bold initiative seeks to eliminate the digital divide, creating a skilled workforce capable of thriving in the dynamic technological landscape. The vision extends beyond individual empowerment, aiming to significantly contribute to the development of the community and the nation at large.
