Rep. Adedeji Olajide Attends National Assembly Open Week as Lawmakers Mark 10th Assembly’s 2nd Anniversary

As the Nigerian House of Representatives celebrated the second anniversary of the 10th Assembly, Rep. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, fondly known as Odidi-Omo, was among the distinguished lawmakers who participated in the 2025 National Assembly Open Week — a major democratic engagement held from July 8 to 10, 2025, in Abuja.

The event, themed “Deepening Citizens’ Trust and Participation: Celebrating Our Journey as the People’s House”, served as a platform to foster open governance, transparency, and civic inclusion in the legislative process. Odidi-Omo’s presence, alongside other notable lawmakers such as Rep. Dawodu Bashiru Ayinla, Hon. Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, Rep. Rotimi Akintunde Oluwaseun, and the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker, added weight to the historic moment.

Throughout the three-day program, participants engaged in dialogues, exhibitions, and policy-centered forums that showcased the legislative strides of the 10th Assembly. As Chairman of the House Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, Odidi-Omo used the platform to champion the cause of digital inclusion and public accountability — values that remain central to his legislative work.

The event also featured the official launch of the House’s Legislative Scorecard, capturing key milestones across all committees, including Odidi-Omo’s input in shaping Nigeria’s digital governance landscape.

Celebrating both the anniversary and the Open Week, Odidi-Omo reaffirmed his commitment to a people-first mandate: ensuring that the voices of citizens not only influence legislation but also shape the outcomes that define progress and national development
