Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide (Odidi Omo) was among dignitaries who attended the Oyo State Government Christmas Carol Service and Nine Lessons, held on December 21, 2025, in Ibadan.
The annual service took place at the Pacesetter Modern Park, Ibadan North Local Government Area, adjacent to the Government House, Agodi Gate, and commenced at 3:30 pm. The event brought together government officials, political leaders, senior civil servants, party executives, and residents to mark the Christmas season in an atmosphere of worship and reflection.
Governor Seyi Makinde led the state at the service, which featured biblical readings, choral renditions, and prayers focused on peace, unity, and progress for Oyo State. The minister-in-charge, Hezekiah Oluboye Oladeji, delivered messages centred on faith, gratitude, and communal harmony.
Also in attendance were local government chairmen, permanent secretaries, and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership structure.
Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidi Omo, was visibly present at the service, joining other leaders in observing the Christmas tradition organised by the state government. His attendance aligned with the event’s theme of unity and collective reflection at the close of the year.
Speaking at the gathering, Governor Makinde described the service as “spiritually uplifting” and extended Christmas goodwill to residents of the state, urging citizens to embrace peace, love, and togetherness during the festive season.
The Oyo State Christmas Carol Service and Nine Lessons remains one of the state’s key end-of-year events, bringing leaders and citizens together in a shared moment of worship and thanksgiving.
