Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidi-Omo, on Thursday joined leaders and stakeholders of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West to receive the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Hon. Ayo Salawu, during their statewide thank-you visit to the federal constituency.
The gathering brought together party executives, local government and ward chairmen, women and youth leaders, elected officials, party faithful, and supporters in a remarkable show of unity as the party continues to strengthen its structures ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The visit formed part of the statewide appreciation tour by the governorship candidate and his deputy to thank party leaders, aspirants, stakeholders, and supporters for their commitment, sacrifices, and steadfast support throughout the party’s nomination process.
Welcoming the delegation, Odidi-Omo expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the leadership of the party for sustaining a spirit of consultation, inclusion, and unity across Oyo State. He noted that the impressive turnout of stakeholders from Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West reflected the shared determination to build a stronger and more cohesive party.
Reflecting on his years of representation in the House of Representatives, Odidi-Omo reaffirmed his commitment to the continued growth and success of the Allied Peoples Movement. He urged members to remain united, focused, and resolute, stressing that unity, discipline, and cooperation would be the foundation upon which the party would achieve success in the 2027 elections.
He also assured Hon. Adekanmbi and Hon. Salawu of the unwavering support and cooperation of APM stakeholders in Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West, emphasizing that the constituency remains fully committed to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures and mobilising support across the district.
In his remarks, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi thanked party leaders and stakeholders for the warm reception and reaffirmed his commitment to building an inclusive administration that places grassroots development at the heart of governance. He assured members that every part of Oyo State would have a voice in government and called on party faithful to remain steadfast as the party prepares for the task ahead.
Responding on behalf of stakeholders in the constituency, party leaders reaffirmed their commitment to working with the governorship candidate, his running mate, and all APM candidates to ensure the party continues to grow from the grassroots. They pledged their full cooperation and expressed confidence that unity, mutual respect, and sustained engagement with communities would position the party strongly for the 2027 General Election.
Before the meeting concluded, Odidi-Omo again called on members to remain steadfast, united, and committed to the ideals of the party. He reminded supporters that every successful political movement is built on loyalty, sacrifice, and collective purpose, expressing confidence that with continued unity and grassroots mobilisation, the APM would be well positioned to earn the trust and mandate of the people of Oyo State.
