As Ibadanland marks a profound moment in its royal and cultural journey, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, fondly known as Odidiomo, has extended warm congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin I), the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the occasion of his 90th birthday and the first anniversary of his coronation.
In a message celebrating Kabiyesi, Hon. Olajide described the revered monarch as “a beacon of peace, wisdom, and cultural depth whose ascension has further dignified the traditional stool of Ibadan.”
“Your Majesty, in just one year, your reign has become a symbol of harmony, patience, and renewed dignity for our people. This celebration is not just of age or title — but of service, history, and legacy,” Odidiomo noted.
Hon. Olajide, who represents Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency and serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Digital, ICT and Cybersecurity, expressed deep pride in witnessing and supporting the reign of Kabiyesi, whose leadership continues to inspire trust across generations.
The celebrations — holding between July 4 and July 13, 2025, at the New Olubadan Palace in Oke-Aremo — are drawing dignitaries, traditional rulers, and citizens in honor of a monarch many describe as “the right man for the moment.”
Hon. Olajide, who is also to be formally installed during the celebrations as the Odidiomo of Ibadanland, acknowledged the timing of the honor as both humbling and memorable.
